TITLE SEQUENCE
LET THE CREDITS ROLL
For our title sequence, we wanted to include a lot of information so that we could begin them while Juliet was getting ready to go to school, but finish them at the very end with the title of the movie. I would say it wasn't a very complicated process.
We followed this format that we found on the StudioBinder website, which has 17 total credits! I trust this source's reliability because I remember hearing its name in videos that Mrs. Woz would show us throughout the year to teach us about media studies. Also, from what I recall of movies, this order for opening credits is pretty common.
This image is an example of the font we decided to use. The bolder text on top is the font Avenir Next Heavy. On the bottom it's plain old Avenir Next Regular. We didn't necessarily have other options we were looking at, it was kind of just a matter of seeing what iMovie had to offer and selecting this from the get-go. All other credits for the film follow this same layout, the bold Avenir Next Heavy up top describing the type of credit, then the person or studio being credited beneath it with the non-bolded Avenir Next Regular.
The one "exception" to the standardized format that most of the credits fall under is the final credit, which states the title of the movie. The font is the Avenir Next Heavy, but we now have it italicized and outlined in black. Another important note, we opted for a star symbol rather than an "A" in the word "Star". This gives our title more personality, setting it apart from the long list of names that come before it.

Some other important information about our title sequence is the transitions we used. You obviously can't tell, as I've only included still shots of the words, but for all credits (excluding the title), the words fade onto the screen, as well as fade off after about 3 seconds. For the title, it flies onto the screen from the right, stays for approximately 3 seconds, then flies off to the left. This is, again, to emphasize its difference from the other credits.
This part was actually a lot easier than others. If only everything were as simple as credits... See you next time with something that's hopefully not harder!
