FOURTH DAY OF FILMING

THE END OF FILMING: DAY FOUR 

Our final day of filming took place on March 31st at 6:00 PM. This was to film our final scene, which is Juliet walking into her school and finding the poster that will change her life.

We were lucky enough to have the doors in this specific Everglades hallway have the same color doors as the ones at the front of the elementary school we filmed our previous scene at. We had Sarah open the door and come in, omitting the filming of the part where she would be opening the door from the other side so that you can't tell it's two different filming locations.

Afterwards, we had a sort of POV shot looking down at Juliet's feet while she walks and approaches the poster. We attempted letting Sarah film it, but it got complicated when we needed to switch the camera over to Nicole for a seamless cut into a video of the poster that was clearer and lacking a foot in the way of the words. 

Here Nicole is, filming the POV closeup of the poster that really allows the audience to focus on the content of the poster. On it, we have the words, "Be a star", to tie in the movie title and explain where Juliet had been in the very first scene of the opening. We stopped here to give the audience a sense of suspense, but also let them have a hint of what's to come in the time between the present and the scene of Juliet in the dressing room.

I'm so glad we FINALLY finished filming. It's been super hectic with everything going on lately, but we managed well. It's finally time for editing... See you then!
