MAIN CHARACTER ANALYSIS

INTO THE MIND AND MANNER OF JULIET

PHYSICALITY

Juliet is a short, dark-haired Hispanic girl. As she will be played by Sarah, her physical characteristics match those of her. Brown eyes, a pixie cut, a small nose, and thin eyebrows.

COSTUMING

In the beginning of our opener, Juliet will be dressed very rock, punk 80s. She'll be very much a rockstar for this portion. When we are transported to the present, before she wears these clothes, she will be dressed in modern clothing for girls today. The floral, white shirt and blue jeans are simplistic and blend in easily with the rest of society.

PROPS

As for props, the main thing we will be associating with Juliet is the rock concert poster. Her intrigue regarding the poster will reflect her true desires, which differ from what she displays for the rest of the world. There are no other props really associated with her, but the average things she owns are a reflection on how she just blends in as opposed to standing out prior to her breakout as a rockstar. These are things like her backpack, her hairbrush, etc.

PERSONALITY

I hate to keep using the same two words that all mean normal, but that is essential to Juliet's character, and is how she presents herself to the world. The real personality that lies tucked within her dreams of being loud, extroverted, and everything that is unapologetically her.

MENTALITY

Juliet is depressed. Getting by at the bare minimum, but doing so sadly. She has big dreams and aspirations in her head. She feels suffocated, suppressed, by where she is and what she allows herself to be because of the people around her. She fears disappointing others. Most of all, she fails to see that everything will be alright.
